New for June 22th 2007
The Flash Unit came in the mail today. A very powerful flash, I relay need to get a defuser for it.

I also got in the tripod. It came by postal truck. This is a very nice pro tripod. Got it like most of the rest on E-Bay for a song. You can see it's sporting the new tripod head I bought separately.

This model has the grate option of using the center hight pole as an adjustable Monopod. Sweet.

It also comes with a grate padded carrying case.

Just in! Arrived in the mail this morning. A Dynatran professional series tripod head. Now just waiting for the legs.

DynaTran ball heads are distinguished for smooth operation and solid locking capabilities. The rotating conical opening provides a broad range of movement which would be otherwise impossible with conventional heads. A single control provides complete 360 pan and +90/-90 tilt action, perfect for panoramic positioning. The friction control lets you regulate the power of the blocking mechanism to match the weight of your camera/lens. The ball head is made for lightweight performance, and is designed to keep the weight of your kit as close as possible to the tripod's centre of gravity by way of its reduced height. Complete with 1/4"" screw camera attachment and quick release camera plate the ATH-02H 36mm ball head is suitable for use with digital, 35mm or medium format cameras.

The first of my E-Bay perches has come in. My Photographer's Vest and it's a beauty! 100% Cotten, XXL and fits like a dream and soooo comfortable! And enough pockets to satisfy the most demanding gadgeteer.

The EOS Rebel. It's one of the first DSLR Canon but I have found it's a grate camera for me. Power full but so easy to use. Later if I win the lottery I'll upgrade to a newer camera.

The EOS Rebel goes digital! The Digital Rebel features a large 6.3 megapixel CMOS sensor that provides photography enthusiasts with the resolution and true photographic quality that guarantees incredibly sharp and vibrant photos. High-speed auto focus with 7 AF points give exceptional, wide coverage so off centre subjects don't mean out-of-focus pictures. Canon's DIGIC image processor delivers advanced image quality, autofocus accuracy and speed. Other attributes include an ISO speed range of 100 to 1600, simultaneous RAW+JPEG recording, and two selectable Adobe RGB and sRGB colour spaces. The Digital Rebel can be coupled with its dedicated standard zoom EF-S lens (equivalent to 28-90mm in 135 format), and is also compatible with any other Canon EF lens. Because the Digital Rebel is PictBridge compatible and Direct Print enabled, there are a number of direct printing options, which do not require a PC. This incredibly fun and capable digital SLR is housed in the renowned Rebel body - compact, light and stylish with its refreshing titanium grey metallic colour.

later I bought this zoom lens from the same guy i got the camera from. Looking it up I found it was worth $280 Canadian. I got it for $150.

EF 75-300mm f/4.0-5.6 III USM Compact and lightweight 4x telephoto zoom lens ideal for shooting sports, portraits, and wildlife. The newly developed Micro USM makes autofocusing quicker and quieter. The improved zoom mechanism also makes zooming smoother. The front part of the zoom ring now sports a silver ring for a luxury touch.

Along with the lens he also left this UV Filter on it. It's worth $60 by itself, Nice.

Light rays which are reflected by any surface become polarised and polarising filters are used to select which light rays enter your camara lens. PL-CIR (Circular Polarising) filters have the same effect! They allow you to remove unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water, glass etc. They also enable colors to become more saturated and appear clearer, with better contrast. This effect is often used to increase the contrast and saturation in blue skies and white clouds. Hoya's polarising filters do not affect the overall color balance of a shot.

The camera came with a 64 MB CompactFlash card. Not bad but only allowing me 40 pics. I up graded to a 1 Gig Flash and that gives me 280 pics on L, 425 on M and 999 on S.

I also bought a new toat to haul around all the stuff i'm gona need. Mine is black. Its nice but I think i'm gona need a bigger back pack for the tripod and flash and other things. I'll get it later on E-bay.

The Velocity 8x Pro Sling Pack is slightly smaller than the Velocity 9x, but still accommodates a pro digital or film SLR with a grip (such as Canon's EOS 1D series or Nikon's D2 series) and an 8" zoom lens attached. Inside the main compartment, the camera with lens attached is suspended on two vertical, foam-padded dividers that are internally reinforced with rigid plastic. The Velocity 8x can be carried comfortably like a backpack, but when swung around to the front, the secure zippered Quick Flip Top opens away from the body for fast and convenient access to camera gear. A well-padded sling strap comfortably distributes the weight, but need not be removed to quickly access photo equipment. A Tuck-A-Way waist belt allows the Velocity 8x to be used comfortably during vigorous activities such as hiking or biking. The front pocket has organizer pockets inside to keep a mobile phone, PDA or photo accessories within easy reach. It also features Tamrac's US-patented Memory & Battery Management System that uses red flags to identify available memory cards and batteries from ones that are used up. A pocket inside the lid stores filters and lens caps. Customize this sling pack with Tamrac's Modular Accessory System components.
